The School of Clinical Medicine (the School of General Practice) has more than 220 staff members. There are 186 full-time lecturers including 25 professors of core modules. The School offers three diploma programmes: Diploma in Clinical Medicine Science, Diploma in Rehabilitation Therapy Technology and Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology, first two of which are provincial-level characteristic programmes. The programme of Clinical Medicine Science also has imaging modules and rehabilitation modules available. The School has four teaching and research sections: Internal Medicine and General Practice, Surgery, Medical Imaging and Rehabilitation, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. At present, there are more than 1600 students in the school. The annual employment rate of graduates is above 95%. The main future job opportunities for our students are positions of clinicians and assistant general practitioners, medical imaging doctors/technicians and rehabilitation therapists in hospitals of all levels, maternal and child health centres, community health service centres and township health centres.

The School has 1 directly affiliated hospital, 4 directly affiliated hospitals, 2 teaching hospitals, more than 40 practice hospitals, and more than 200 part-time lecturers. It has a clinical skill training centre, a rehabilitation therapy training centre and a medical imaging technology training centre. The clinical skill, rehabilitation and imaging training centres are all provincial demonstration experimental training centres. The centres have scientific management and advanced equipment, fully qualified to undertake the training of general practitioners of Anhui General Practice Training Centre, multi-station skill assessment and competition  every year.

Basic Modules: Human Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pathology and Pathophysiology, Medical Psychology, Pathogen Biology and Immunology.

Core Modules: Diagnostics, Pharmacology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, General Practice, Basic Public Health Service Practice.

Modules of Medical Imaging Technology Programme

Basic Modules: Human Anatomy, Sectional Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology and Pathophysiology, Medical Physics, Introduction to Clinical Medicine, Principle of Medical Imaging and Imaging Electronics.

Core Modules: Medical Imaging Examination Technology (including X-ray, CT and MRI examination technology), Ultrasound Examination Technology, Medical Imaging Diagnostics, Basic Interventional Radiology and Medical Imaging Equipment Science.

Professional Development Modules: Radiotherapy Technology, Nuclear Medicine Examination Technology.

Modules of Rehabilitation Technology Programme

Core Modules: Kinesiology, Rehabilitation Assessment Techniques, Exercise Therapy Techniques, Physical Factor Therapy Techniques, Occupational Therapy Techniques, Speech Therapy Techniques, Traditional Chinese Rehabilitation.
