The School of Nursing has two diploma courses: Diploma in Nursing (including Oral Hygiene Care) and Diploma in Midwifery. It is a Key Construction Programme of Provincial Demonstration Colleges, Key Construction Programme of Regional Skill-oriented High-level Colleges, Provincial Comprehensive Reform Pilot Programme, and Programme Group of the National "Double High Plan".

The School of Nursing is a national-level training base for skilled talents in short supply, vocational education training base supported by the central government, vocational training base for the Health Vocational Skills Appraisal and Guidance Centre, and provincial-level innovative experimental area for the training mode of applied nursing talents.

In 2018, it was approved as one of the first batch of pilot colleges and departments for the comprehensive reform of "Three Comprehensive Education". It has a provincial demonstration training centre, provincial teaching teams, and a provincial open training base.

Its course construction has realised the modularisation of the curriculum system, the simulation of nursing operations, the reality of the training environment, and the process of practical training assessment.

Graduates with solid basic skills and excellent overall professional quality are favored by employers. Over the years, the employment rate has averaged over 98%, the specialty-match employment rate is over 90%, employer satisfaction is over 96%, and graduate employment satisfaction is 95% above. The average pass rate of students sitting for the National Nursing Qualification Examination is about 98%.

Professional Development Modules: Emergency and Critical Care, Infectious Disease Nursing (including nosocomial infection), Nursing Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, Community Nursing, New Medical Reform and Medical Insurance.

Professional Electives: Appropriate Techniques of Traditional Chinese Medicine Nursing, Rehabilitation Care, Geriatric Nursing, Nursing Laws and Regulations, Nursing management and Nursing Ethics, Doctor-patient Dispute Prevention, Graduation Comprehensive Design, Comprehensive Nursing Training.
